A DOUGLAS DEMONSTRATION IN NEW YORK. The New-York Democracy have determined to follow in the wake of their Southern fellow believers, who have been organizing anti-secession demonstrations in all the States from Virginia to Louisiana since the adjournment of the Convention to Baltimore. A grand demonstration in favor of the platform of Senator DOUGLAS will take place at the Cooper Institute on Monday evening next, when the successful onslaught of the “Little Giant” upon his foes will doubtless be handsomely applauded, and the “Union feeling” of the Southern Democratic masses encouraged by a reaffirmation of the principles maintained at Charleston by the New-York Delegation. We are at last drifting into the swift whirl of the Presidential contest.
