Hot Springs, July 20, 1847.
Dear Sir:-I had written to Mr. Adair that I could not be at your court. He had written me on behalf of other parties. I then thought that your court was on the 2nt and 3rd Mondays of August. Learning from you that it is on the 25th, I will make every effort to be there. As Soon as I get home (first week in August) I shall be able to give you a definite answer. I desire to aid in the defence, if possible, although you have able counsel.
