HARFORD COUNTY, situated on the northern boundary of Maryland, with Susquehanna river on the northeast, and Chesapeake bay on the southeast.  Area, 480 square miles.  Face of the country undulating; soil, good for grain, pasturage, and fruit.  Seat of justice, Beslair.  Pop. in 1810, 21,258; in 1820, 15,924; in 1830, 16,315; in 1840, 17,120; in 1850, 19,356.
